Peter Said . . .

The kids and I were driving around the new high school recently.  The marching band was starting their summer band practice, and Peter loved watching them walk up and down the field as they learned marching techniques.  As we drove around the back of the school, a man was running on the side of the street.  I carefully drove around him.  About 30 seconds later, this was the conversation in our car --

Peter:  Mommy - Good choice!!

Mommy:  What do you mean?

Peter:  You made a good choice.

Mommy:  Um, what good choice did I make?
Peter:  You didn't hit that runner.  You didn't flat him up.  That was a good choice.

Mommy:  Thank you Peter.

Peter:  I welcome.

  1. Affirmation is always nice... even when it isn't necessary. :)
